— FIRST IMPRESSIONS —

APPEARANCE Marty's a compact 5'4" and composed of lean muscle. He's got light brown hair usually kept short, bright blue eyes, and an incredibly expressive face (often to the point of exaggeration).

CLOTHING Favours bright clothing and colours, leaning towards blues and reds if he's got a choice in the matter. At the moment, however, being in Solvunn leads to more modest, loose attire in earthy tones. In colder weather, Marty likes to layer, but otherwise sticks to short sleeves. His trousers are almost always held up by suspenders. In place of having a wristwatch, he's taken to wearing bracelets on his left wrist for comfort.

DEMEANOR Marty's easily approachable, but doesn't go out of his way to get others to notice him (a lifetime of keeping his head down holds him back). Nevertheless, as an easy-going, go-with-the-flow kind of guy, he's open to most ideas and happy to "yes, and" large personalities. More timid ones are treated with similarly more reserved behaviour, but he'll never turn anybody away outright.

AURAL Clip for reference. Marty's voice is a little scratchy and a little on the higher side, and he's got a standard American accent. He's privy to 80's lingo and swears here and there, but he's not very loud and not at all timid. The only time he's ever likely to scream is if something frightens or terrifies him. Also, he can sing, and sounds a lot like this.

OLFACTORY He smells like Solvunn, probably-- dirt and animals and sometimes sweat, depending on how much he's been working. Marty cleans himself regularly, though, so as long as it's within his control, he isn't likely to let smells and dirt layer on him.

ACROBATICS & ATHLETICS He's great at moving around and using his surroundings for it! He's also real good with a skateboard.

BASIC SURVIVAL And by "basic", it really is utterly basic. Like the kind of camping usually done with one's father at a campsite known locally.

MUSIC Marty's a singer and a guitar player with an affinity for rock 'n' roll. He writes and composes his own stuff, but isn't so quick to share them.

UTILITIES As the assistant to a great inventor back home, Marty's got plenty of experience with working on mechanical and electrical objects for technology up to the mid-80's. This includes, but isn't limited to, working on cars, doing any plumbing, and wiring circuitry. Tangentially, he has some experience with technology to make objects "hover" (i.e. the tech for flying cars), but not enough to write home about.

SHARPSHOOTING Marty's got an eagle eye and a quick trigger finger with firearms, courtesy of his intense training at the local 7-Eleven.
